Home » Flood Death Toll Rises to 39; 928,000 People Affected Across Five Districts of Chattogram
Recent continuous heavy rainfall, flooding, and landslides have already claimed the lives of at least 39 people. Countless families have lost their loved ones, homes, and sources of livelihood, leaving them to endure extremely difficult conditions. The pain caused by this disaster is beyond words.
Thousands of people remain stranded by floodwaters across different areas of Chattogram, Cox’s Bazar, Bandarban, and Moulvibazar. In many places, homes have been submerged, road communication has been cut off, and there is a severe shortage of safe drinking water, food, and secure shelter. The situation is especially alarming in Satkania, Chandanaish, Banshkhali, Lohagara, Anwara, Chakaria, Pekua, Ramu, Ukhiya, Teknaf, Maheshkhali, Thanchi, Ruma, Lama, Alikadam, Kulaura, Rajnagar, and Kamalganj.
Munir Foundation is closely monitoring the flood situation. Our volunteers have already visited the affected areas and begun collecting information on families who have lost their homes or whose houses have been damaged. InshaAllah, we will work to rehabilitate the verified affected families.
Let us come together to help restore a place to call home for these families. Your small contribution can become the reason an underprivileged family is able to rebuild their life. Be a part of this noble initiative and earn the rewards of Sadaqah Jariyah.
